I find the work these sisters do to be very
inspiring. They are strong and determined women
willing to face serious consequences for standing up for what is right and helping those most in need. They dare to challenge those in power in the church and in America. In other words, these amazing nuns embody the true spirit of
Christ and his message for the world.

I see your pride showing loud and clear. Of course women play an important role in the role of the Church- Mary was the mother of God. Jesus was very radical for his time, BUT he did NOT choose women priests. He chose Peter to take the keys, hence, his successors. The Church is the bride of Christ, so we must accept and HUMBLE ourselves to the teachings of the Church- not think WE know better. Just because that nun said she’s been a nun longer than some of the men have been priests, so what? That has NO bearing. I see arrogance. Mary was the highest creature, yet, she humbled herself, completely, to the will of God. You would do well to follow her example.”There are 10,000 times 10,000 roads down which we may travel. It makes no difference which, but at the end of those roads, you’re going to see one of two faces, either the beatific face of Jesus or the miserific face of Satan. One or the other, there’s no escape.” Venerable Fulton J. Sheen

Why is not speaking out “strongly enough” against issues like abortion, homosexuality and ordaining women as priests seen as a crime? Why is our Pope opening his heart in so many ways but at the expense of America’s nuns? Doesn’t he see that even though this suppression of America’s nuns may be confined to the US, his lack of action on addressing the Vatican’s investigation and control of America’s nuns makes him complicit and indirectly extends America’s War on Women to other parts of the world? When is he going to give some of God’s servants who are closest to the people the same respect he gives homosexuals?

I never left the church in heart, just in body. It is truly difficult to be involved with a group of people that blindly obey to hate, segregate, and single out groups and situations that clearly violate the golden rule. Jesus opened his arms and welcomed in everyone. Woman always surrounded Jesus. He also stated to everyone that those without sin can cast the first stone, yet all I know is judgment from the church. Please ladies, on your road to help woman gain some ground in the church, do not forget ‘human rights’. All people need to feel loved and accepted in the church.

I just chanced upon this while browsing facebook and am so excited!!! I gave up being a Cathoic when I was 19 when I first experienced my body in light during my first meditation experience. I also coud not understand the hypcrisy of Catholics I knew. Growing up in a Catholic country (Philippines) and going to a Catholic school (Maryknoll), I went to church regularly and received Communion every time. I even dreamed of being a nun at one point except that wearing those manly shoes was a turn-off! The teaching that always stood out for me was that I was born into the image and likeness of God. This was such a powerful teaching and I experienced it while meditating and reading different religions and philosophies. That is why I left the church. I find the Catholic Church & the Vatican obsolete but people seem to need a structure as they have this ingrained in their dna. Do not be afraid to break away from the Vatican. Form your own spiritual community, I will be very honored to be part of it. This is a time of great transition. Thank you!

God bless you for being the hands, feet and voice of Jesus in your everyday life…for living out the teaching of the Gospel that He preached. The world needs Jesus’ light reflected through you so I hope that you will never give up spilling the light. You will be in my prayers.
